Cargill needed a packaging solution adapted to an unusual flexible bag format with a side spout that complicated the process. Cartobol responded with a custom-designed line, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and hygiene without compromising product quality.
Challenge
Cargill, one of the world’s largest privately held companies and a global leader in food ingredients and animal nutrition, faced a technical challenge at one of its production plants in Mexico: it needed a customized solution for packaging avocado oil in flexible bags with non-standard dimensions. The bag format was considerably larger than usual and also incorporated a laterally positioned JBC nozzle, which required precise orientation during the filling process. This special configuration posed complications in adapting existing filling systems without compromising process efficiency, product integrity and seal quality.
Solution
Cartobol responded to Cargill’s challenge with an integrated solution, precise and completely adapted to the project specifications. The system developed enabled efficient and safe filling of the special format, while respecting the complex bag geometry and the lateral location of the nozzle. Thanks to its flexible and high-precision technology, the solution ensured accurate orientation during filling, maintained product quality and optimized production times, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and operational performance.
Advantages
The solution offered by Cartobol allowed Cargill to automate the packaging process in a complex format without sacrificing efficiency or quality. The system developed helped preserve the freshness and properties of the avocado oil, while reducing waste and ensuring high levels of hygiene throughout the process. In addition, the integration of this technology led to a significant improvement in the shelf life of the packaged product, consolidating a more efficient and safer workflow within the plant.
